In the video below, Glen Rexing, Senior Principal Cloud Solution Architect, Infor, explores using Web Configuration Console’s change management functionality known as snapshots. He discusses Web Configuration Console’s change management snapshot functionality including snapshot creation, exporting, importing to the target, validating the snapshot’s items, and applying that snapshot. Glen explains a system snapshot, which contains all configurations, personalizations, and security classes on the system, and how to compare configurations and security classes on one system to the configurations and security classes on another system. He also describes a snapshot that is more focused on change management for development processes that captures all configurations, personalizations, and security classes tagged into selected bundles or changes between systems. Glen demonstrates Web Configuration Console’s change management functionality, specifically, system snapshots. He shows how to export a system snapshot, import it to a target, and compare differences between systems. Glen also demonstrates using tags and bundles as the sources for a snapshot. Glen concludes by recommending pertinent Infor Education training courses. Be sure to watch for future Web Configuration Console videos.
